Edward Johnson, 28, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Monday, March 11, when members of the Stratford Police Department's Narcotics Vice and Intel Unit stopped his vehicle on Stratford Avenue for minor violations, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.
While speaking with Johnson, detectives noticed that his pants were hanging low and black plastic was protruding from his waistband. During a pat down the detectives felt a large object secreted in his groin area which they "knew was not part of the male anatomy."
The "protruding" object was removed and turned out to be 108 grams of cocaine and approximately 50 grams of marijuana.
Johnson arrested and charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, and failure to signal.
He is being held on $150,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 20.
